Once on Highway 1, you'll be treated to stunning coastal views as the road winds along the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. This stretch offers numerous turnouts and viewpoints where you can stop to take in the scenery and snap photos.

The road passes through Marin County, known for its charming towns like Sausalito and the Point Reyes National Seashore, which features rugged coastlines and historic lighthouses.

One of the most famous and scenic sections of the drive is through Big Sur. Here, the road hugs the cliffs, offering panoramic vistas of the ocean and the Santa Lucia Mountains. You can stop at Bixby Creek Bridge, McWay Falls, and Pfeiffer Beach for some of the most iconic views.
