Our professionally guided walks include the Six Waterfalls Walk of the Brecon Beacons, a fine Foraging and Forest Waterfalls day as well as a range of other walks in South, Mid and North Wales. We deliver guided walks seven days a week from 1st March to 30th November and a good few dates Dec to Feb too.

Our professionally guided tours are tailored to visit must-see historic sites and lesser-known gems. Think Tintern Abbey or Caerphilly Castle, the industrial heritage of the Gwent Valleys, and don’t forget The Gower and iconic Rhosilli. Tours both day and multiple days in length can be tailor-made and booked as private days out, or join us from our Cardiff pick-up.
The Wales Outdoors Team are entertaining and engaging, but, you add to the mix to make for a fine day out in rural Wales. A Small Team
Andy is the main man, delivering guided walks and guided tours in Wales. Andy is both a Mountain Leader and a Green Badge Tourist Guide, has been a Brecon Beacons National Park part-time warden, chair of Brecon Beacons Tourism, a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Co-ordinator and is a keen part-time historian. Andy is supported by his partner Kate on some hikes and Kate is the Project Manager, ensuring the smooth sailing of the Wales Outdoors ship :) And then there is Graham, the foraging specialist extraordinaire and Chris a mountain leader who lives in Mid Wales. We have a network of other sessional leaders that we call in at busy periods or for large groups.
Small Group Events
Gone are the days of large groups and vicarious activities. We decided some time ago to deliver only small group hikes and tours in Wales. It's safer, allows for good engagement and you, the clients, very much appreciate this approach. It's good for the environment too...
We're Electric!
Wales Outdoors are the only fully electric guided tour and guided hike provider in Wales! Our luxury minivan that can take up to seven clients includes: individual full leather seating, a glass roof, a mini fridge with complimentary water, multiple tech charging points including UK plug socket, electric sliding doors and plenty of rear storage space.

Yes, we've been about since 1995 and the sun is not about to set upon us yet ;) From mountain biking, through most adventure activities, youth provision and overseas holidays, we've been a huge part of the landscape of guiding in Wales. Amongst other things, Wales Outdoors is responsible for the development of the Environmental Charter for activity providers in the Brecon Beacons National Park, for SWOAPG, the coordinating group for all activity provision in South and Mid Wales and more recently for forcing the Welsh Government to review their policies regarding the tourism portal for Wales, Visit Wales.
